Friday 56

The Friday 56 is a bookish meme sponsored by Freda's Voice. It is really easy to participate.

*Grab a book, any book.

*Turn to page 56.

*Find any sentence that grabs you.

*Post it.

*Link up at Freda's site.

Here's mine from The Lost Art of Reading: Why Books Matter in a Distracted Time by David L Ulin:

Immediately, we found ourselves buffeted by waves, pitched in sweeping rolls of water, although we were no more than a hundred yards off the coast.

[I find myself wondering what this has to do with reading and the importance of books....]

That is an intriguing p. 56! As for organizing and combining posts, I used to have them on separate blogs! Now how disorganized was that? LOL

Thanks for visiting again.

I'm with you on this one. Very interesting but confusing at the same time.

I wondered the same thing. I had to read the book title again and then the sentence again. It has me intrigued. TFS.

Here's mine.
